Principal's Email to Families December 10/2023

Greetings HES Families,

Thank you to all the families that were able to meet with our team to discuss our students’ progress at our Family-Teacher conferences last week! We appreciate all your support as we work to ensure that each students reaches their full potential. Thank you for your generous support of our bookfair! The proceeds from the bookfair help to support our classroom libraries.

HES Winter Concert – Monday, December 18 (storm date Thursday, December 21)

* 9:00am for our Gr. 3-5 English classes (3Kennedy, 3Salgado, 4Harlow, 4Shannon, 5Bond, 5Smith)

* 10:45am for our Gr. 3-5 French Immersion classes (3Aubin-Martin, 3Schofield, 3Bentley, 4Bradshaw, 4Vallis, 5Kelemen, 5Melanson)

* PLEASE NOTE: Doors will open one half hour prior to each performance

Best Seats in the House Tickets for the Winter Concert – Tickets are 1 for $2 or 3 for $5 for a chance to win Reserved Parking, VIP Seating for 4, and Treats.

Draw will take place Friday, Dec. 15 – all tickets and money are due by noon in order to be entered. All funds raised will be donated to the Hampton Food Basket.

Pizza Hot Lunch – With the cancellation of one week of pizza, the last week for this current round will be Dec. 22 instead. However, we will still run the ordering for the next round of pizza from Dec.8-18 to ensure we have it ordered in time for our return in January. The next round of pizza will begin January 10th, for 5 weeks, 1 slice for $10 and 2 slices for $20. Orders will be available for purchase online from Dec.8. Paper order forms can be picked up in the office.

HES Hampton Food Basket Collection Drop-Off - Thank you to our families for supporting our food drive! Our grade 5 students will drop off the donated items to the Hampton Food Basket on December 12th.

HMS Carol Sing for HES Grade 5 students – Our grade 5 students have been invited by the Hampton Middle School Team to visit the school for a Carol Sing on Tuesday, Dec.12th. All grade 5 students will walk up the hill on Tuesday morning, arriving at HMS at 9am for this event. This provides our students with an opportunity to visit their future school and connect with the students and team.

~ Community Events ~

Rotary Club of Hampton – Barrel of Socks Campaign – Hampton Elementary has been asked to help collect new socks, mitts, scarves, toques, etc for the less fortunate. We will have a box in the lobby to help collect these items, if you wish to contribute to the Rotary Club’s campaign.
